The Lebanese militant group Hezbollah on Wednesday issued a formal statement congratulating the Islamic Republic of Iran for its “divine victory” following a 12-day conflict with Israel, declaring it the beginning of a new historical phase in the struggle against “American hegemony” and “Zionist arrogance.”

The ceasefire, brokered on June 23 and publicly announced by U.S. President Donald Trump, brought to a halt intense exchanges in which Iran launched multiple waves of ballistic missiles at Israeli territory and Israel, backed by U.S. strikes, targeted Iran’s nuclear sites at Natanz, Fordow, and Isfahan.

In its communiqué, Hezbollah praised Iran’s precision strikes—which it said “shattered the myth of Israeli invincibility”—and lauded the rapid retaliatory operation dubbed “Announcement of Victory” that followed U.S. air raids on Iranian facilities.

The group underscored that Tehran’s resilience had weakened Israel’s capacity to intimidate regional actors, delivering “precise and painful blows” that resonated across the Middle East and challenged longstanding power dynamics.

Hezbollah’s military wing framed the outcome as proof that “the days of bullying and dictating terms to the peoples of this region are over,” urging all Resistance Axis members to unite “behind the Islamic Republic and its wise leadership.”

The statement highlighted the role of “resistance vigilance” in ensuring victory, reaffirming that the ceasefire did not mark an end to opposition but rather strengthened the bonds between Iran, Lebanon, and other allied forces.

In Tehran, supporters of the Islamic Republic gathered outside the Iranian embassy in Beirut on Wednesday to celebrate, holding portraits of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and chanting solidarity slogans—a scene orchestrated by Hezbollah to showcase regional backing.

Analysts say the conflict and its aftermath have shifted strategic calculations, demonstrating Iran’s ability to project power and deterring future Israeli or American unilateral strikes without broad regional escalation.

Hezbollah, which maintains a significant arsenal and fought Israel to a standstill in the 2006 Lebanon War, reiterated its commitment to “continue confronting all forms of aggression” alongside Iran, emphasizing that “any surrender only emboldens our adversaries.”

The group concluded by calling on Muslim nations and oppressed peoples throughout the globe to draw inspiration from Iran’s steadfastness, asserting that true strength lies in faith, national unity, and collective resistance against external domination.
