Heatwave Keeps Southern Europe on Alert Due More Than 40 Degrees Temperatures

A heatwave is keeping much of southern Europe on alert, with temperatures above unusual 40 degrees in many areas even in summer, which are expected to continue this week.

The minimum in some areas will not be below 30 or at night, so authorities have closed schools and issued health warnings to vulnerable people. In addition to the high risk of forest fires, which have already affected some countries.

In Italy, the heat wave will continue all next week, while the Italian Ministry of Health put on red alert this Sunday 21 cities, considering that temperatures, reaching 40 degrees, pose a risk to health.

In Milan, for example, the thermometer could exceed 37-38 degrees for five consecutive days, something unprecedented in the city. Throughout the next week, in some areas there will be lows of around 30 degrees even at night.

In the western Balkans, meteorologists predict temperatures of up to 36 degrees this week, especially on the Adriatic coast, according to regional channel N1. Meteorologists predict for Romania strong winds along with high temperatures between 35 and 37 degrees in much of the country.
