At least 21 Palestinian civilians have been killed and dozens more wounded in a fresh wave of Israeli airstrikes and gunfire across the Gaza Strip since early Sunday, according to medical sources.

The attacks come amid intensified bombardments targeting displaced families, aid distribution centers, and residential areas—worsening Gaza’s already dire humanitarian crisis during Eid al-Adha.

In northern Gaza, eight people were killed when Israeli warplanes struck Jabalia town. Medical teams also recovered the bodies of two civilians following an airstrike on the Ma’an area, east of Khan Yunis.

Another Israeli drone attack hit tents sheltering displaced families in the al-Mawasi area of Khan Yunis, killing five civilians, including two young girls. A sixth woman later died from injuries sustained in a previous strike in the same region.

In Rafah, four civilians were killed and at least 70 others injured when Israeli forces opened fire near an aid center west of the city. In central Gaza, another civilian was shot dead and several others wounded during aid distribution near the so-called “Netzarim Corridor.”

Meanwhile, Israeli forces reportedly demolished homes and civilian infrastructure in Jabalia and in eastern Gaza City.

Medical officials warn that Gaza’s hospital fuel reserves could be depleted within 48 hours, putting the lives of hundreds of patients at risk. Many of the wounded face growing obstacles reaching medical care in southern Gaza due to the collapse of infrastructure and ongoing attacks.

The latest escalation coincides with renewed regional diplomatic efforts. Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas held talks with the Sultan of Oman regarding peace initiatives and exchanged Eid greetings. Meanwhile, a large solidarity convoy from the Maghreb region is expected to reach the Rafah border on Monday, demanding an end to Israel’s genocidal war and unimpeded humanitarian access to Gaza.
