At least 52,810 people have been killed and more than 119,000 injured in Israeli attacks on Gaza since the war began, according to the latest count by health authorities in the strip.

Gaza Reports Unprecedented Scale of Israeli Bombardments and Humanitarian Catastrophe

In the last 24 hours, 27 Palestinians were killed and 85 wounded due to continued Israeli shelling in the Gaza Strip, bringing the total casualties since 18 March 2025 to 2,678 dead and 7,308 injured.

Part of the new offensive plans announced at the beginning of the week by the Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s government involve moving the Gazan population, of about two million people, to the southern tip of the Strip.

So far on Saturday, at least seven Palestinians have already died in attacks by Israeli forces, including five members of the same family, according to local media reports.

On the other hand, thousands of people from different parts of Spain demonstrated in Madrid this Saturday to denounce “the genocide in Palestine” and the arms trade with Israel.

Around 15,000 people, according to official estimates, participated in the protest, convened by the Solidarity Network against the Occupation of Palestine (Rescop) under the slogan “Move for Palestine,” which coincides with the 77th anniversary of the Nakba (catastrophe in Arabic), which every May 15th evokes the Palestinian exodus as a consequence of the birth of the State of Israel in 1948, and also with the intensification of the Israeli offensive in Gaza and the West Bank.

Saida Ghodaieh Curiel, president of the Spanish-Palestinian Jerusalem Association, has denounced that since then “the only thing we have experienced is displacement, murders, ethnic cleansing, apartheid and crimes against humanity against the Palestinian people, even more so today with a genocide that is being televised and with impunity with the complicity of Western countries.”
