On Friday, German police reported that several people were injured after a car struck several pedestrians in the city of Stuttgart, in southern Germany.

According to the tabloid ‘Bild,’ the incident occurred around 5:50 p.m. at a busy intersection in the city center, where a Mercedes G-Class struck several pedestrians crossing the street.
“We are investigating in all directions,” said a police spokesperson, who did not indicate whether it was an accident or a possible terrorist attack.
The driver of the vehicle has been detained and is being questioned by authorities, while traffic has been closed around the scene.
