U.S. Airstrikes in Yemen Fail to Halt Houthi Operations Amid Ongoing Support for Palestine

A ballistic missile was launched from Yemen toward occupied Palestine, triggering air raid sirens in multiple regions of Israeli territory, including Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, Hashfela, Gush Dan, and Galilee. The attack caused scenes of panic in Tel Aviv, where numerous settlers were forced to abandon beaches and seek shelter, as seen in videos circulating on social media.

The situation escalated further when Ben Gurion Airport temporarily suspended operations for security reasons, underscoring the severity of the attack. This incident comes just three days after U.S. President Donald Trump announced a truce between the United States and Yemen—a move that reportedly caught the Israeli regime by surprise.

Despite this de-escalation attempt, Yemeni authorities have reaffirmed their commitment to continue attacks as long as the offensive against Palestinians in Gaza persists. Since Israel resumed its aggression in Gaza on March 18, Yemen has launched a total of 28 ballistic missiles and dozens of drones targeting Israeli sites, according to Tel Aviv-based media.

The Yemeni military command has expressed its intent to enforce a full aerial blockade on Israel, focusing on strategic airbases—particularly Ben Gurion Airport. These actions are framed as support for Palestinian resistance, which has endured prolonged aggression for over a year and a half.

This latest attack marks a significant shift in regional dynamics, directly challenging Israeli air dominance and reflecting growing international pressure for an immediate ceasefire. Yemen’s active military stance in support of Palestine highlights the conflict’s complexity and volatility, suggesting tensions could escalate further in the coming days.
