The leader of Yemen’s Ansarullah movement, Seyed Abdulmalik Badreddin al-Houthi, warned on Friday that his country will resume military operations against Israel if its government does not halt violations of the Gaza truce within four days.

In a televised speech broadcast by HispanTV, Al-Houthi accused Israel of deliberately delaying the fulfillment of its commitments under the ceasefire agreement in Gaza. According to the Yemeni leader, Israeli forces have been using starvation as a weapon of war against the Palestinian population by blocking humanitarian aid deliveries.

“We cannot remain silent spectators in the face of the enemy’s escalating aggression, preventing aid from reaching Gaza and reimposing a policy of starvation in the region,” Al-Houthi stated.

The Ansarullah leader emphasized that the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas has honored its commitments under the truce, unlike Israel, which continues to target civilians.

Yemeni forces had suspended their retaliatory attacks since the ceasefire took effect on January 19. However, they warned that they will resume naval operations against Israeli interests and targets if the blockade on humanitarian aid persists.

Since the beginning of the Israeli offensive, more than 40,000 people have been killed in Gaza, most of them women and children, in what international organizations have described as an ongoing genocide.
