On the third day of bombings, Monday’s attacks left at least one hundred dead and dozens injured, according to preliminary data collected on the ground. HRANA raised the number of civilians killed during the day to 85 and military deaths to 11, although experts warn that figures could increase as more cases are verified.
Among the most affected regions, Tehran concentrated 56% of the recorded attacks, followed by Kurdistan (west) and Hormozgan (south), in the Strait of Hormuz.
The targets hit included military installations, residential buildings, and the Shahid Bahonar dock in Bandar Abbas, a port city in southern Iran, located in Hormozgan province, on the shores of the Persian Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz.
Damage was also reported to a mosque in Karaj, capital of Alborz province, west of Tehran, and to several residential buildings in the Iranian capital. The Red Crescent had reported on Monday that more than 555 people have died in Iran since the start of hostilities, 180 of them in the attack on a school in Minab.
