During the meeting with oil sector workers at the Puerto La Cruz refinery in Anzoátegui state, Rodríguez reaffirmed that Venezuela does not fear the global energy agenda.
“We must not be afraid of the energy agenda, neither with the United States, nor with the rest of the countries of the world. It is Venezuela’s right to have diversity in its international relations,” she said.
The president emphasized that the country is moving forward with determination in the defense of its natural resources, while promoting strategic alliances that respect its independence.
“May those barrels that are in green fields be converted into salary, food and health for our people. May national and international capabilities be added to develop our reserve,” she specified, directly linking oil and gas production with social well-being.
One of the milestones highlighted by the acting president was the recent completion of the first contract for the export of natural gas, which positions Venezuela as an emerging power in this area, beyond oil.
“They didn’t believe it, but we have already closed a contract to export the first gas molecule from Venezuela, and now we are going for more,” she noted, emphasizing that the goal is to transform the world’s largest crude oil reserves and the hemisphere’s vast gas reserves into tangible prosperity for the Venezuelan people.
Rodriguez Now it is our turn to become the country with the largest oil reserves in the world, of the largest gas reserves in this hemisphere; now it is our turn to become a true oil and gas producing power.
The legal reform in this sector ensures the continuity of Commander Hugo Chávez’s legacy in terms of state ownership of natural resources.
Rodríguez assured that the legacy of the Eternal Commander Hugo Chavez on the ownership of resources will remain untouchable and intact within the new legal framework, who called for unity in the hydrocarbon sector, recognizing the fundamental role of the workforce in the recovery of the industry.
In the diplomatic arena, the president reiterated that Venezuela is heading strongly towards a stage of defending sovereignty based on Bolivarian Peace Diplomacy.
“We are going face to face with the government of the United States, we are going to resolve our differences, our historical controversies through Bolivarian diplomacy,” she stated, calling for national unity under the spirit of the heroes of independence.
The acting president stressed that the central objective of this position is to shield internal stability, following the recent installation of the program for democratic coexistence.
“We are going to the diplomatic battle, face to face, and we have said to them: we are not afraid… because if anything should unite us today as a people, it is to guarantee the peace and tranquility of this homeland,” she concluded, stressing that dignity and honor will be the premises of this international dialogue process.
