On the night of November 13, 2024, two explosions were recorded in the Plaza dos Três Poderes in Brasilia, the same location where the bolsonarista attack took place on January 8, 2023, targeting government buildings.

In a recent statement issued by the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, they condemned the recent attacks that occurred in the Plaza dos Três Poderes in Brasília.
The statement declared that these attacks aim to “shake the peace of the government and its institutions,” expressing absolute solidarity with President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva and the Brazilian people.

The text also noted that these attacks demonstrate “once again, the danger posed by the advance of the fascist and anti-democratic wave that, using social networks and other mass communication mechanisms, the global far-right attempts to inject into our continent to produce destabilization and social chaos.”
The Venezuelan government reaffirmed its commitment to peace in the region and its rejection of any form of violence aimed at destabilizing Latin American democracies, while remaining “faithful to its principles of brotherhood and fraternity.”
