A few hours before the deadline for registration of applicants, the President pointed out at a public event in the state of Michoacán (western Mexico) that members of the Committee commented on the progress made in receiving registrations.
“I was informed earlier by the group of persons we have named who will be part of the Commission that will select those who will participate in the election of the judiciary, who have registered only in the registration of the executive branch, more than 9,000 young people across the country who want to be honest judges, magistrates, honest magistrates, ministers and ministers,” said the President.
However, Sheinbaum did not specify the total number of registrations received so far for the judicial election, whose candidates will be evaluated by both the Executive Committee and the Legislative and Judicial Council.
Just before, the president of the Mexican Senate Board of Directors, Gerardo Fernández Noroña, reported that the Legislature has already received more than 10,000 registrations, without specifying how many are young people.
