The continued attacks in Tel Aviv have caused thousands of civilian deaths, forced displacement and destruction of infrastructure and residential buildings.
In a statement, the Government of Nicaragua reiterated the need for an end to the Israeli offensive in the Gaza Strip, which has been carried out for more than 10 months and whose victims are mostly women and children.

“The Government of Reconciliation and National Unity of the Republic of Nicaragua once again demands an immediate ceasefire in Gaza; we welcome the efforts made by countries throughout the world, to achieve a peaceful and lasting solution in Gaza”, the text says.
It also urges that a peace agreement be reached and reiterates the position of the Central American country “that any action promoted, implies relief for the population of the State of Palestine and the Gaza Strip, and that the Israeli occupation should end completely”.
“We are in permanent solidarity with the families and the heroic people of Palestine, and we repudiate the acts of hatred, barbarity, brutality, genocide and extermination that have suffered and continue to suffer the population in Gaza,” the statement concludes.
The number of Palestinians killed by the Israeli offensive in the Gaza Strip is 39,897, while the number of wounded exceeds 91,152.
The death toll is expected to be higher, with thousands of bodies still lying under the rubble as the Israeli occupation forces obstruct the movement of ambulances and civil defence teams.
