Nicaragua Congratulates Vietnam on Its Independence Day

The Nicaraguan Government, headed by the president Daniel Ortega and the vice-president Rosario Murillo, congratulated the Vietnamese government and people on the occasion of the 79th Anniversary of the Declaration of Independence of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

“On behalf of the People and Government of Reconciliation and National Unity of the Republic of Nicaragua, and on our own behalf, we are proud to express our Warmest Congratulations to You and Your Noble People and Government on the solemn occasion of commemorating the 79th Anniversary of the Declaration of Independence of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, this coming September 2,” reads the Nicaragua statement released today.
The text says Nicaragua join in celebration of this Historic date full of sovereignty, dignity and freedom, as well as remembers the Ho Chi Minh’s courageous spirit and legacy of patriotism.
Nicaragua reiterates “always blessed and always free, our will to continue strengthening the bonds of fraternity, solidarity and cooperation that unite our peoples and governments.”
Seventy-four years ago, on 2 September 1945, and before thousands of people, President Ho Chi Minh read the Proclamation of Independence, declaring the birth of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, today the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
Since that historic event, the country has continued to develop and position itself internationally as an independent and sovereign nation.
