New audio reveals Fox News host Tucker Carlson calling Iraqis 'semi-literate monkeys' and using homophobic comments

A day after releasing audio of Tucker Carlson making numerous misogynist remarks, Media Matters for America (MMFA) published a new video with clips of the Fox News commentator using racist and homophobic language to describe Iraqi people, African Americans, gay people and immigrants while speaking on the radio program "Bubba the Love Sponge Show." Media Matters for America said the clips originated from between 2006 and 2011.

In the recordings, the conservative political commentator for Fox News said about people from Iraq: “I just have zero sympathies for them or their culture. A culture where people just don’t use toilet paper or forks,” in a 2006 appearance on the popular shock jock. “They can just shut the fuck up and obey, is my view,” he added.

Carlson called Iraq a “crappy place filled with a bunch of semiliterate primitive monkeys” during a 2008 call-in on the show. He added of Afghanistan: “It’s never going to be a civilized country because the people aren’t civilized.”

He said immigrants to the U.S. should be “hot” or “really smart” and that white men “created civilization.”

In another clip about feminist issues, described Hillary Clinton as "anti-penis" and said: "you look at Hillary and you know in your heart that if she could castrate you, she would." He also claimed that “Everybody knows that Barack Obama would still be in the state Senate in Illinois if he were white.”

It is not the first time that Carlon is subject to controversies. In December, he suggested that immigrants make America “poorer and dirtier and more divided.” Carlson declared to have the full support of Fox News. He was hired by the U.S. channel in 2009.
