The domestic flight from Izmir, Turkey, went off the runway during the landing due to bad weather.

A Pegasus Airlines passenger plane went off the runway, caught fire and broke in two today at Sabiha Gokcen Airport in Istanbul, Turkey, with no victims reported.

There were 177 passengers on board the aircraft, none of whom died as a result of the incident, according to the Turkish Ministry of Transport. But, some passengers were injured and explained that the accident was due to a "crash landing", said Turkish Transport Minister, Cahit Turhan.

A video broadcast by local media shows the passengers leaving the plane's wreckage by their own means.

Also, images obtained at the scene of the incident show the aircraft broken and flames coming out of the fuselage.

The domestic flight from Izmir, Turkey, went off the runway during the landing due to bad weather.  As local media reported, strong winds and heavy rains have been battering the city for much of the day.

Firefighters and ambulances have moved to the scene of the accident.
