Russia's President Vladimir Putin might soon hold a dialogue with the future president of Mexico, Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador, his adviser Yuri Ushakov said.

“There exists the possibility of a short trip to Mexico or an encounter in Argentina,” Putin’s adviser on international affairs Ushakov told members of the press.
Lopez Obrador has invited Putin to his swearing-in ceremony on December 1, but Ushakov didn't confirm whether the president had accepted the invitation. According to the adviser, another possibility would be meeting at the G20 summit in Buenos Aires between November 30 and December 1.
Future Secretary of Foreign Affairs Marcelo Ebrard, however, issued a statement thanking the Kremlin for its interest but saying meeting in Buenos Aires wouldn’t be possible, because the summit begins a day before Lopez Obrador is due to be sworn in.
“We thank the interest of the Russian Federation for answering so quickly, for being attentive, and the interest for a possible meeting between both presidents,” Ebrard told the press outside Lopez Obrador’s headquarters in Mexico City.
“If we don’t make it on December 1, we will look for the moment. What matters is the interest. We can’t do it [in Argentina], the president must be here because of his ceremony.”
Putin congratulated Lopez Obrador in July for his landslide victory in the presidential elections and highlighted the friendly relationship between both countries. He also expressed confidence in the development of bilateral links and asked the future president to monitor the cooperation between both countries.
