The mayor of Caracas, Erika Farías, reported that the light was re-activated both in Caracas and the national territory.

The government of Venezuela announced Tuesday morning the gradual restoration of electricity service in Caracas, the capital of the country, after the double attack on the electrical system denounced by the administration of President Nicolas Maduro.

Minister of Communication Jorge Rodríguez through his official Twitter account, reported that the fire brigades came to the 765 kva yard in Guri, in Bolívar state, and managed to control the flames to reactivate the electric system in this country's main electric plant.

"The electric service has been restored in a large part of the capital, however, we are alert because it is possible that there are some intermittences" informed the mayor of Caracas.

He also denounced the fire at the electricity generation yard and the energy transmission routes in that nation's main hydroelectric power plant.

Rodriguez said that these sabotages will generate a greater shielding of the electrical system and he called the population to stay calm "we are working with a lot of force and we will not stop working until the full recovery of electricity service is achieved throughout the country."

For his part, the governor of the state of Miranda, Héctor Rodríguez, assured through media that in different sectors of Miranda the electric service has been restored.
