It's the Iranian people's duty to peacefully solve their internal issues, Venezuela says.
The Venezuelan Minister of Foreign Affairs, Jorge Arreaza, and President Nicolás Maduro have expressed the country´s support for the people and government of the Islamic Republic of Iran following seven days of anti and pro-government protest in that country.
In a release posted to Arreaza´s official Twitter account, they called on the international community to allow the people of Iran to settle their domestic issues without interference.
President Maduro also warned countries against the use of these protest to advance other interest in the region and denounced the U.S. and Israel´s commentary on Iran's internal affairs stating “artificially encourage unsettling actions against people's sovereignty and independence, as they have done in Venezuela.”
He further stated that the world must “respect Iran's sovereignty and to refrain from intervening in the Islamic Republic of Iran's interior affairs.”
