Hundreds of Sacramento residents led by Stevante Clark, the brother of Stephon Clark, stormed a public meeting of the Sacramento city council as anger and demonstrations continue to grow over Stephon killing by police earlier this month. Stephon, a 22-year-old father of two, was shot 20 times on March 18 in his grandmother’s backyard by city police who were investigating a vandalism complaint. His murder sparked a series of protests in California’s capital with demonstrators blocking freeways and the entrance to NBA matches.
