The Oilfields Workers’ Trade Union from Trinidad and Tobago has published a message of support for Venezuela against U.S. threats of military action.

“We condemn in the strongest terms the threat of military action by U.S. President Donald Trump against the democratic Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela!” the union wrote in a message on Facebook.
Using the hashtag #TrumpHandsOffVenezuela, the union joined the international solidarity campaign in support of Venezuela.
Social media users from across the world have used the hashtag to condemn Trump’s threatened use of force against Venezuela.
Government leaders from China, Germany and across Latin America have also condemned Trump’s comments.
Founded in 1937 following an anti-colonial revolt, the Oilfields Workers’ Trade Union is one of the most important unions in the English-speaking Caribbean.
