Terrorist Attacks Against Damascus, Syria, Cause Four Deaths

At least four civilians were killed today in neighborhoods in and around this Syrian capital as a result of mortar rounds fired by terrorist groups from the nearby East Ghouta region.

The attack, which coincided with the distribution of humanitarian aid by a Russian religious organization, caused material damage to the sacred site.

A civilian also died and nine others were seriously injured by the impact of a rocket in the busy central square of the Christian district of Bab Toumah.

According to the Damascus Police Command, another rocket hit a stop at urban transport facilities and affected an internal passenger transfer bus.

On the other hand, numerous rockets caused property damage in the neighborhoods of Bab Sharqui, Ibn Asaker, Shagour, Al-Ameen and Dwelah.

According to reports, a shell that exploded on the outskirts of the police hospital in the city of Harasta caused the death of a civilian and injured nine others.
