Just outside the Place du Chatelet at 5:30, an army of protesters will stand demanding the release of the iconic revolutionary teen and her family who have been held in captivity by Israeli soldiers since early December.

In a push of support, human rights groups have issued a call to action with prominent activist organizations such as Children of Palestine, CAPJPO-EuroPalestine, ISM-France, Nanterre Palestine, among others leading the way.

Organizers of the protests have launched a website to spread the word via an online petition for Tamimi’s release, receiving over 250,000 signatures in just a few days from its initiation.

Israeli authorities indicted the 16-year-old Palestinian girl on Monday for physically confronting Israeli occupation soldiers in her village two weeks ago, in an incident which made her into a hero in the eyes of Palestinians and Arabs and was seen as an intolerable humiliation by Israelis.

“On the same day, the same army left Ahed's little cousin, Mohamed Tamimi, almost dead for dead, killing him in the head during a demonstration against Trump's statements. At the same time, 16-year-old Ahed Tamimi tried to repel the soldiers who are permanently occupying his house and his village of Nabi Saleh,” the organizations’ call to action for Thursday’s read on International Solidarity Movement warned.

Tamimi first gained worldwide attention in 2010, when a photograph of her circulated in international in which she stands before a soldier with her fist raised.

The Israelis have held the young teen after she was caught on film slapping, kicking and even punching two heavily armed Israeli occupation troops deployed to suppress protests in her village of Nabi Saleh, near Ramallah.

Tamimi was upset after her cousin was shot in the face at close range by less-lethal weaponry that penetrated his face and led to the victim being placed in an artificial coma.

“Israeli leaders, who have called for the mark in her flesh, to rape Ahed - for undermining the ‘virility’ of their army - must know that the girl and her family are not isolated, nor the thousands of Palestinian children constantly persecuted, kidnapped, tortured by Israeli occupiers,” it continued.

“We must demonstrate in all the cities of France, as is the case in the rest of the world for the release of Ahed, her family, and the hundreds of imprisoned Palestinian children,” the call to action ended, demanding redoubled efforts from supporters to spread the word and bring justice to the persecuted innocents in Palestine.

At least seven hundred demonstrators have been illegally incarcerated following peaceful protests with Israeli forces burning their homes and imprisoning children among other catastrophic crimes of torture to regain control.
