Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro will deliver on Sunday house number 1.6 million as part of the Great Venezuela Housing Mission.

President Maduro also announced through social media that there will be other announcements relevant to the fate of the country, which he will do in his weekly televised program.

"Tomorrow don't miss 'Sundays With Maduro,' since I will deliver the house 1 million 600,000 of the GMVV (housing mission), because nothing stops us from working," said Maduro on Saturday.

Meanwhile, parts of the opposition announced they won't sit down again with the government to resolve the political crisis and rejected the electoral schedule in the country offered by the government, despite calls by Pope Francis to resume talks.

The mission heads into its sixth year, which was born to help thousands of families who were affected by the intense rains recorded between 2010 and 2011. It was later expanded to provide the possibility for all Venezuelans to own their own homes.

The social program was created in 2011 by former president, the late Hugo Chavez.
