The Reds manager reportedly "demanded" colleagues to pull out all the stops to sign the Mexican this summer, pipping rivals Arsenal to the post.

According to ITA Sport Press, Klopp is sweating over Liverpool’s dearth of strikers.
With Danny Ings injured, Daniel Sturridge’s fitness in question and a subform Christian Benteke, the German gaffer has had to plug the hole at the front with Roberto Firmino.
Chicharito, on the other hand, has had a top-class run at Bayer Leverkusen, scoring 13 goals in 17 outings.

He’s also been crowned Bundesliga’s player of the month three times straight.
Klopp’s chances of acquiring the striker are not too slim: according to the Daily Star Sunday, Chicharito has said that he would consider "another crack at the Premier League," after a run at Manchester United.
