"Bernie Sanders offers an inspiring message and bold vision for America without the excessive baggage of Clinton, which is why Sanders is our choice for president in the Democratic primary," the paper said.

Pennsylvania is the largest delegate pot this coming Tuesday, offering 210 to be allotted proportionally. According to the U.S. Bureau of the Census, roughly 44 percent of Pennsylvania's population is Black.

"Clinton has on many occasions exercised bad judgment on critical issues," the Philadelphia Tribune continued. In the paper's opinion, these exercises in poor decision-making include "her avid support for her husband’s draconian 1994 crime bill which led to a major increase in mass incarceration of African-Americans."

Many of Clinton's detractors have pointed to her support of this bill, along with her use of the term "superpredators" to refer to young African-Americans who committed crimes with “no conscience, no empathy," as reasons for for the Black community to reevaluate supporting her.

The paper goes on to say that Clinton's speeches for Wall Street that fetched hundreds of thousands of dollars were another set of bad calls.

On the other hand, "Sanders has supported policies and programs that would be in the best interest of all Americans and African-Americans, specifically. He has been a consistent fighter for a more just and equitable society," the oldest African-American newspaper says.
