"I would like to thank all of my teammates," Neymar, who just completed his first season with the Paris outfit, said on beIN Sports television. "I'm honored and very happy with our season. I couldn't have won this trophy without my teammates."

Neymar scored 19 goals and set up 13 other in just 20 league games for the French league champions, having suffered a foot injury which resulted in him missing the last three months of the season. The soccer star also took the opportunity to address rumors regarding a possible transfer.

"We talk about these things every time the transfer window comes around. I don't want to talk about anything at the moment," Neymar said. "Everyone knows why I came here, what my objectives are. Right now, my objective is the World Cup, not talking about transfers.

"I spend my whole life, every transfer window, talking about it. It's a bit annoying. I am very touched and very happy with our season. It is an honor. Without my team-mates, I would never have received this award."

The Brazilian, who is the world’s most expensive player, beat out PSG teammates Edinson Cavani and Kylian Mbappe as well as Marseille’s Florian Thauvin. Runner-up Cavani is the league's top scorer with 28 goals, ahead of Thauvin with 22.
