U.S. Vice President Mike Pence just can’t seem to get a hang of Twitter.

On Friday, President Donald Trump’s right-hand man posted two pro-Israel tweets that mistook the Nicaraguan flag emoji for the Israeli flag.
Live tweeting the Republican Jewish coalition, Pence expressed his support for the settler state using a flag from a country that is unapologetically pro-Palestine. Since 2007, Nicaragua’s ruling Sandinista government has called for an end to Israel’s occupation and expansion.

Although Pence has since taken down the tweets, NBC News editor Bradd Jaffy managed to grab screenshots of them. Twitter users immediately responded.
This isn’t the first time Pence fails on Twitter.
Earlier this month, he sparked a digital uproar when he acknowledged Abraham Lincoln for ending slavery on the first day of Black History Month.

By now, you’ve probably realized what’s wrong here — Pence chose to honor a wealthy white man who had a shady relationship with racism for Black History Month.
Twitter users immediately fired back.
Pence’s latest Twitter fail is yet another sign that Trump’s right-hand man is not sensitive to cultures and identities that aren’t his own. It also shows that his attempt to speak directly to broad sectors of society demonstrate his unworldliness.
