Palestinian demonstrators are calling for massive protests, rallying under the slogan: "We are returning despite your wrath and fury, Trump.”

The Israeli Army has confirmed that troops attacked Palestinian protesters in the Gaza Strip Friday. The new clashes, with Israeli military forces, have resulted in the injury of one person from a group of protesters, who were allegedly launching incendiary balloons.

Additionally, the Ministry of Health of Gaza reported that a Palestinian protester died from wounds he had sustained in clashes on July 14, against the Israeli army, during the March of Return.  The deceased is identified as Amjad Hamdona, who had been protesting along the border of the Gaza Strip.

Taking into account the death of Hamdona, the number of demonstrators killed along the border has risen to 172 this year, so far.

Protesters are expected to continue demonstrating near the border on Friday.

The group of demonstrators is calling for massive participation in the protest, rallying under the slogan: "We are returning despite your wrath and fury, Trump.” The slogan makes reference to the U.S. cutting all funding to a United Nations program which was put in place to provide assistance to over five million Palestinians in the occupied territories, as well as Syria, Jordan, and Lebanon.

The movement also includes lobbying other countries to follow suit to denounce U.S.-incited interference.

The organizers of the protests stated that "the Palestinian people insist on their rights, including the right of return and the continuation of the non-violent marches." Through the protests, Gazans, who have lived under a decade-long blockade, are demanding their right as refugees to return to their homes in present-day Israel.

Despite international criticism of Israel’s use of lethal force against unarmed protesters, who do not pose any immediate threat to life, the Israeli forces continue its open-fire policies against demonstrators along the Gaza border.
