"I don’t think there will be a need to send any troops because there are a lot of people in Lebanon, Syria and Palestinian territories. They will be enough to get rid of the Israelis."

Hundred of Iranians rallied against Israel in downtown Tehran, chanting slogans like, "the U.S. is a murderer," "Palestinian mothers are losing their children” and the ubiquitous "Death to America."

According to demonstrators, U.S. President Donald Trump had sped up Israel's demise with his decision to recognize Jerusalem as its capital, AFP reported.

A neon board on the side of the square announced that there are only 8,240 days left for Israel, referring to a speech by supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in which he predicted the end of Israel to be 2030.

"I don’t think there will be a need to send any troops because there are a lot of people in Lebanon, Syria and inside the Palestinian territories. They will be enough to get rid of the Israelis," cleric Seyed Abdullah Hosseini told AFP.

"Mr. Trump has done a good job of speeding things up. We were expecting Israel to be dismantled later… but this is the beginning of the end of Israel," the cleric added. “We have to thank him for what he did.”

He said Trump’s decision to move the American embassy to Jerusalem, which was widely condemned across the Arab world, “was one more cruelty on top of America’s previous oppressions” and could not be tolerated.

Trump's decision has already garnered widespread condemnation, sparking protests outside U.S. embassies worldwide. From Malaysia and Indonesia to Turkey and Afghanistan people demonstrated their rage, torching U.S. flags and burning effigies of Trump, while waving signs and chanting “Long Live Palestine!”

Since the 1979 Islamic Revolution, Iran is known for its undying pro-Palestinian stance. Iranian officials have actively denounced Israel's occupation and policies, with Tehran providing military aid to Hezbollah.
