A German court is questioning Spanish charges of embezzlement against Puigdemont.

The German Territorial Tribunal Schleswig-Holstein is asking the Spanish government for additional information about its accusations against Carles Puigdemont for embezzlement which the court says the Euro order lacks in detail.

"The description does not contain a sufficient description of the crime and is without necessary and concrete accusations." The letter was written last week but was just released today. The court threw out the case of rebellion against Puigdemont but agreed to study the accusation of embezzlement.

So far the court has said it isn’t clear if Puigdemont approved the spending of the 1.6 billion Euros that Spain claims the region spent on its independence referendum last October.

Because the Spanish government dissolved the Catalan region using Article 155 when it voted for its independence, the German court is saying that the loss of money can’t hurt the government that doesn’t exist. For that reason, the court is requiring additional information from Spain regarding the accusation.
