Facebook has yet to respond to the website's management about why the page was taken off the social media site.

The Facebook page of the progressive news website Venezuelanalysis was back up on the soicla media website after employees had reported that it was unpublished by Facebook over violation of "terms".

The news comes few days after Facebook said it removed Alex Jones pages "for glorifying violence, which violates our graphic violence policy, and using dehumanizing language to describe people who are transgender, Muslims and immigrants, which violates our hate speech policies."

However free speech activists have complained that such swift actions by the social media giant, which has more than one billion members, could constitute a threat on freedom of expression for other websites or pages that Facebook management would deem incompatible with their opinions or terms or even policymakers in the United States.
