Members of the award-winning Cuban Contemporary Dance Company (Danza Contemporánea de Cuba) share their passion for dance, folklore, and culture with teleSur. The international troupe of choreographers stands out as one of the most prestigious dance companies in the world, combining Afro-Caribbean with jazzy American modernism.

The extraordinary blend of old and new dance techniques taken from both classic and contemporary ballet provide a solid foundation for dancers to express emotions while performing. Artists also dedicate themselves to serious study, researching folklore and legends in order to connect better with their characters on stage.

The contemporary group celebrates over fifty years of success and continues to travel the globe telling the stories of Cuba, still honoring their roots and cultural identity while bringing a refreshing burst of originality to the scene.
