Democratic Presidential candidate Bernie Sanders has more support nationwide than former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton according to a new Fox News poll released Thursday which shows the Senator from Vermont beating Clinton 47 to 44 states among likely Democratic primary voters.
This the first time that Sanders has sprung ahead of Clinton in any nationwide poll. Leading up to the primaries season, all nationwide polls showed that Clinton had at least 35-point lead on Sanders. But that has been changing in recent weeks.

Since January, Sanders has cut Clinton’s national polling advantage in half as a result of his small margin loss in the Iowa caucus and his wide win in the New Hampshire primary.
Meanwhile, another nationwide poll released Wednesday showed Clinton ahead of Sanders by only 2 percent. A Quinnipiac University poll showed Clinton with 44 percent support, compared to the Vermont senator’s 42 percent support across all U.S. states.
