The U.S. R&B singer Chris Brown announced Tuesday that he has canceled all his shows in Canada since he was he was denied entry into the North American country.
“Unfortunately I will not be able to perform in front of sold out crowds in Montreal & Toronto,” he wrote on his Twitter account.
Brown was scheduled to perform Tuesday evening at Montreal’s Bell Centre, and Wednesday at Toronto’s Air Canada Centre, but now his fans will have to wait to see their favorite star since he was turned away from the border.
“The good people of the Canadian government wouldn't allow me entry. I'll be back this summer and will hopefully see all my Canadian fans!” He said.
The famous singer has several criminal charges on his record, including a 2009 sentencing to five years' probation for beating his then-girlfriend, the Barbadian pop singer Rihanna.
