Bolivia: Morales Revises Agenda to Include Growing Middle-Class

The current agenda is composed of 13 proposals to eradicate poverty, stabilize the economy, and provide basic social, health, education services.

President Evo Morales will be revising the Patriotic Agenda for 2020-2025, the country's long-term national goals, to address the needs of the growing middle-class sectors in Bolivia.

"I was reviewing to give my report on January 22 of the 2020-2025 agenda, and I realized that an update has to be made in this agenda," the president said in a statement.

Over the past few years, some 3,000,000 Bolivians, who were considered poor or working class, have migrated into the middle class, and the President explained the aspirations, expectations, and needs of the group are of the utmost importance.

The current agenda is composed of 13 proposals to eradicate poverty, stabilize the economy, as well as provide basic social, health, education services to Bolivians among other ambitious endeavors.

A few of the other proposals include regularizing nationalizations, industrialization, commercialization, and environmental factors.

Below the complete list of Morales' 13 goals for his administration.

1.) Eradication of extreme poverty.

2.) Socialization and universalization of essential services to live well.

3.) Health, education, and sports for the formation of an integral human being.

4.) Respect for scientific and technological with its own identity.

5.) Financial community sovereignty, without servility to financial capitalism.

6.) Respect for productive diversification and integral development without the dictatorship of the capitalist market.

7.) Respect in regards to all natural resources, with nationalization, industrialization, and commercialization in harmony and balance with Mother Earth.

8.) The incorporation of nutritious meals into the home to allow for a healthy lifestyle

9.) Respect for the environment in regards to integral development according to the rights of Mother Earth.

10.) Solidarity with all peoples and the integration of separate sects

11.) Respect for transparency in public management upholding the principles of truthfulness, honesty in regards to federal funds, and tireless persistence in the workplace.

12.) Celebrate the parties (culture) and the environment together.

13.) Respect for the sea and its inhabitants.
