An amazing animation takes the viewer through a beautiful, yet emotional journey.

Few can truly understand the pain and suffering, endured by black slaves centuries ago.

But, in this week’s episode of teleSUR’s Lives, we feature the premiere of ‘Black Soul’, a short film by Canadian filmmaker, Martine Chartrand.

The film, an amazing animation with over 15,000 oil paintings on glass, takes the viewer through a beautiful, yet emotional, journey to a time when black people were torn from their homes in Africa, only to be beaten, humiliated and sold to white buyers in the United States.

A still, from the short film, Black Soul.

It’s a walk through time like you’ve never seen!
