"Los Blaugrana" had a remarkable first 15 minutes, with two goals from Philippe Coutinho and one from Lionel Messi, just before the Argentine went down injured with a fractured arm.

F.C. Barcelona defeated Sevilla 4-2 at Camp Nou Saturday but lost Lionel Messi for three weeks with a fractured arm. The Argentine star broke the radius in his right arm in the first half, and will miss next week's El Clasico with Real Madrid.

"Los Blaugrana" had a remarkable first 15 minutes, with two goals from Philippe Coutinho in the third minute, and Messi in the 13th, just before the Argentine was carried off.

“Tests carried out on the first team player Leo Messi have confirmed that he has a fracture of the radial bone in his right arm. He will be out for approximately three weeks,” stated F.C. Barcelona on Twitter.

It was the 16th minute of the game with Barça winning comfortably, when the Argentine star went into a challenge with his fellow countryman from the Andalusian club, Franco Vázquez, and lost his balance.

"The Messiah" was immediately taken off and later bandaged-up. He tried to continue the match, but was in too much pain, and eventually replaced with Ousmane Dembélé.

The Argentine star will miss at least six games, the most important ones are against Internazionale of Milan in the Champions League and the "Clasico" against Barcelona's heated rivals Real Madrid in "La Liga."
