Recap of the 66th Annual Emmy Awards

Breaking Bad was announced as the winner of the Best Drama Series in Los Angeles during the 66th annual Emmy Award ceremony, in which comedian Seth Meyers hosted the television industry’s most coveted awards. 

Actors and actresses from television's most highly watched shows gathered to celebrate the award ceremony in which lead actor Bryan Cranston won the title as best Lead Actor in a Drama series for the second consecutive year. 

Julianna Margulies was the recipient of her second win for lead actress in a drama for her role in the hit series, The Good Wife.

This year’s competition included notable nominees such as lead actor Matthew McConaughey from the hit series "True Detective", both of which were nominated in the category of best lead actor and best Drama Series.  

This years awards were not held on a Sunday in September, as has been the norm in recent years due to competition from Sunday Night Football.
