Trump Rally Greeted by Community Resistance in Albuquerque

In New Mexico's largest city, the Republican's strident, bigoted message was met with protests led by youth, Native Americans, Latinos and progressives.
Many Albuquerque community members feel that the militant resistance displayed by youth and protesters in the streets was entirely justified, given the inherently violent and bigoted platform of Trump and his supporters.

While the event began in a peaceful manner, protesters soon faced insults from Trump supporters who yelled such racist insults as "Go back to Mexico," despite the fact that many anti-Trump community members were non-Mexican. Many protesters responded by loudly chanting, "Fuck Donald Trump!" Chicano and Mexican community members, for their part, proudly upheld the Mexican banner in defiance of Trump's racist rhetoric.
