Star of Melrose Place and My Name is Earl hit the headlines Sunday when she compared the Trump administration symbol "MAGA" hat to the notorious KKK white hood.

Actress and some-time activist Alyssa Milano, created a dichotomy between the Trump regimes' staple "MAKE America Great Again" red hat, and the infamous white hood, synonymous with the Ku Klux Klan.

Milano made the comments on her Twitter account Sunday night, claiming, "The red MAGA hat is the new white hood. Without white boys being able to empathize with other people, humanity will continue to destroy itself.#FirstThoughtsWhenIWakeUp"

Milano tweeted multiple times Saturday about the confrontation that took place between high school students and a Native American veteran at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C. Friday, according to CBS news.

Some of the students were sporting hats bearing the Trump campaign slogan.

The original viral video drew widespread backlash, as it appeared the veteran was being treated disrespectfully. However, the encounter was revealed to be more complex than first presented, with accounts from a student, the veteran and other videos telling different stories.

The actress is a prominent figure in the #MeToo movement and an outspoken critic of President Trump.

Milano tweeted the president in November after he blamed the recent devastating California wildfires on poor "forest management."

She also aimed an expletive-heavy tweet at the president in September when he questioned the timing of Dr. Christine Blasey Ford's accusations against then-Supreme Court Justice nominee Brett Kavanaugh, who was later confirmed.
