The ruling allows the nomination for the general elections of the end of 2019 and sub-national elections in the middle of 2020.

The Full Chamber of the Plurinational Constitutional Court (TCP) ruled on Tuesday in the city of Sucre (southeast) in favor of the renomination of national and subnational authorities.

This enables President Evo Morales to present his candidacy for the 2019 general elections. Unanimously, the members of the TCP enabled the nomination for the general elections at the end of 2019 and the mid-2020 elections of the president, vice president, 154 legislators; 9 governors, 339 mayors and 3,500 councilors and advisors,  according to ABI.

"All citizens and all the people who were limiting the law and the Political Constitution of the State are, precisely, enabling these people to run, because definitely, the one who chooses is the Bolivian people," said the president of the TCP, Macario Lahor Cortez, to the Press from the headquarters of the Bolivian Judicial Branch.
