The 2018 Winter Olympics is finally underway in Pyeongchang, South Korea, with representatives from across the globe lining up in a colorful display. Lights, fireworks, dancers and even Chinese dragons greeted the throngs of thousands filling the seats around the enormous stadium.

This year's winter events include classics such as bobsleigh, skiing, snowboarding, mogul and the skeleton, among dozens of others.

In a historic event, North Korea has joined forces with its southern cousin to create a powerful team of athletes for the winter competition – while "Donald Trump" and "Kim Jong-un" impersonators told media they were "getting along great."
