'Lebensbaum' (Tree of Life), by artist Ben Wargin, is the oldest mural in Berlin. It has graced a wall of Sigmunds Hof at Tiergarten S-Bahn station since 1975, where its bony branches have helped shape the cityscape for decades. Now, the old tree is being redesigned with the help of younger artists and will ultimately be transplanted to a new location.
