Puerto Rico Debt Crisis

Puerto Rico's crippling debt crisis has had a devastating effect on the country and its people.

Puerto Rico owes about US$70 billion to its creditors. Average Puerto Ricans suffer the most from the crisis with tens of thousands now leaving the island for the mainland United States in search of jobs and stability.
