Protests by opposition supporters are ongoing as Honduran elections are now in their eighth day without official results. After initial results showed an "irreversible trend" in favor of opposition candidate Salvador Nasralla, results were withheld for several days before giving a sudden lead to incumbent president Juan Orlando Hernández.
Protests erupted as opposition supporters, Nasralla, and many international observers called fraud on the pending results. Police met protesters with violence, and at least three people have died so far in the clashes.
