Bolivia's Police Seize Drugs Along Argentine Border
Bolivia's narcotics police force known as FELCN have seized an estimated $US 2.8 million worth of cocaine and marijuana along its border with Argentina. Twenty kilograms of cocaine and 406 kilograms of marijuana were seized from narco-traffickers in a special operation. Bolivia says it will strengthen its borders in a bid to prevent drug smuggling. Authorities have purchased $215 million worth of radar equipment from a French company to be used in its anti-narcotics efforts. The radar will be used to track the movement of narco-planes.
