Argentina Protests Against Violence Versus Women

IN PICTURES: Women held a march against femicides and violence against women, in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Women in Argentina participated in large street demonstrations against femicides in their country and throughout the continent.

A key demand of the march is the release of Indigenous leader Milagro Sala. She was arrested on January 16 in Jujuy on allegations of stealing state funds.

The Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America, ALBA, strongly condemned the violence that affects women every day, calling for massive mobilizations across the continent under the banner of #NiUnaMenos, or "Not One Less."
