Anti-Muslim Hate Rallies Met With Opposition Across the US

IN PICTURES: Across the United States, counter-protesters turned out in droves to reject the bigotry of Trump's support base and the "alt-right" neo-fascists.

Right-wing bigots held rallies across the country urging politicians to pass bigoted Islamophobic legislation and anti-immigrant laws. The efforts were spearheaded by lobby group Act for America, which enjoys close ties to U.S. President Donald Trump.

The demonstration also attracted large numbers of counter-protesters who, in many cases, outnumbered the belligerent racists.
