Juan Cruz Komar plays as a defender for his team, but is also well known for standing up for human rights struggles, namely; defending the Palestinian cause, as well as visiting Palestine; supporting the Madres y Abuelas de Plaza de Mayo human rights association; speaking in favor of the fight of the Mapuche people; speaking up on behalf of gender equality; attacking the repressive measures taken during the military dictatorship in Argentina; criticizing Mauricio Macri's neoliberal government and his austerity policies; among other struggles that he has advocated for.

Roger Waters played in Argentina on his Us + Them Tour, he played in La Plata city on Saturday, Nov. 10th, where Juan Cruz Komar was a spectator. Cruz Komar praised Waters' music, but also his struggles, "the greatest musical experience. Thanks, Roger. For your music, and for your commitment ❤️," he concluded his post on his Instagram account.

During his show, Roger Waters, wore a green handkerchief, the symbol of the struggle in favor of the National Campaign for Legal safe and free abortion, which slogan is: "sexual education to decide, contraceptives not to abort, legal abortion to not die." He also spoke against neo-fascism surging; in favor of the Mapuche struggle; the Palestinian struggle; and against Donald Trump.

"Roger Waters is 75 years old. It is one of the most important musicians in history and makes you a show of 3 hours and a half with the highest quality (musicians, sound, huge screen hd, lights and giant inflatables that cross the stadium and fireworks) In addition to all that, and in one show ... *He puts on the green scarf accompanying the women's struggle *Invites Leon Gieco to the stage to sing one of the deepest themes of national music ("the memory") *Puts up a Mapuche band and raise your flag. *Supports the Palestinian resistance and compose a theme based on the poem of a Palestinian artist (with the invisibility of Arab culture in the West) *Hits hard Trump and all nascent neo-fascists *Defends the struggle of all peoples against Western oppression. The greatest musical experience. Thanks Roger. For your music, and for your commitment ❤️"

One of the fans from the team didn't like his comment about the show and said: "How wrong you are Komar, dedicate yourself to playing at least while you're in Talleres, as a member and fan I tell you so." Komar didn't hesitate to answer, "rest assured that I do not train less because I think a bit."

Also on Nov. 10th, Komar posted photos on Instagram with Estela de Carlotto, from the Abuelas de Plaza de Mayo Association. the Football player gifted Carloto with a shirt from his club, marked with the number 128, a reference to the number of grandchildren that have been recovered by the association, children that were stolen from their tortured and disappeared parents during the Military dictatorship in Argentina.

"You're the most mobilizing true love story I've ever heard. You fight, you are an example, you are a flag, you are memories, you are a memory. You are strong, you are willing, you are a way. You are light, you are good, you are the people. Thank you for your hospitality, for your kindness and your love. Thanks Estela❤️," Komar said on his post.
