IN PICTURES: Europe's migrant crisis only got worse in 2016, fueled by anti-immigrant and racist demagogy throughout the continent.

The far right was the biggest winner in Europe this year with Brexit setting the tone in the U.K., as the migrants fleeing war-ravished countries were scapegoated in a campaign of fear-mongering and racism.
